Padel Referees are responsible for looking after all players at a competition and making sure everyone is fairly following the rules of the game during matches. 

A two-day padel-specific Referee course has now been launched by the LTA. Passing this course will give you the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver and run padel competitions at local and county level.

The course is assessed by an exam on the second day and covers the following:

• Rules of Padel
• Code of Conduct
• Refereeing Duties
• Fair Play
• Court supervising
• Handling situations
• Tournament organisation
• Creating a positive tournament experience
• Safeguarding at competitions

The necessary pre-requisites for attending the course are:

• Be aged 16 and over and a UK resident
• Have attended a Competition Organiser course or completed the Court Supervisor course, or have experience of running and organising competitions
