This enhanced five-day qualification (split into core and elective days), is ideal for those looking to build on their tennis coaching qualifications and the foundations of the LTA Assistant/Level 1, enabling you to lead in the delivery of group coaching.
During the course you will:
- Be able to provide general coaching advice across physical, mental, tactical and technical domains
- Plan and deliver structured lessons from official LTA Adult and Junior coaching products, e.g., Cardio Tennis, Tennis Xpress, FAGE LTA Youth
- Develop more advanced skills in communication and organisation
- Gain introductory knowledge of ‘observation and analysis’ of players
- Understand basic principles of skill acquisition, safeguarding and player development
Prerequisites for the course are as follows:
1) Have a valid LTA DBS certificate issued within the last 12 months (or be LTA Accredited) LTA DBS Checks
2) Hold the LTA Assistant qualification (or Level 1 equivalent)
3) Have a current singles WTN of 25 or better for males or 27 or better for females or have passed the LTA Tennis Instructor Readiness Test Readiness Tests
